An international Catholic community of women religious founded in 1857, dedicated to prayer, reparation, and service in the spirit of Blessed Émilie d’Oultremont. The sisters describe their mission as manifesting God’s tender love and bringing healing to a broken world through ministry, spirituality, justice, peace, and care for creation.
Typically supports Catholic social teaching and public-policy efforts related to social justice, peace, care for creation, poverty alleviation, immigration, and responsible investment. The congregation also engages in justice-and-peace advocacy and faith-based public witness.
Primarily supported by member contributions, donations, and the congregation’s own assets and investments, including socially responsible investment activity.
