SMART, the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers, is a North American labor union representing sheet metal workers, transportation workers, and related trades. Its mission centers on improving wages, working conditions, workplace safety, training, and opportunities for working families.
Labor and employment policy, collective bargaining rights, workplace safety, apprenticeship and workforce training, transportation and infrastructure policy, rail and transit safety, energy efficiency, and trade/industrial policy affecting union jobs.
Primarily funded by member dues and related union revenues.
