About the Organization

The Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, also known as the Forest Society, is a statewide land conservation organization founded in 1901 and based in Concord, New Hampshire. Its mission is to perpetuate the forests of New Hampshire through their wise use and permanent protection, conserving land for wildlife habitat, recreation, sustainable forestry, water resources, and scenic and cultural values. The organization owns and manages forest reservations and holds conservation easements to protect hundreds of thousands of acres across the state.
