About the Organization

The North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) is a voluntary association of state, provincial, and territorial securities regulators. It serves as the voice of state securities agencies and focuses on investor protection, investor education, and maintaining fair and efficient capital markets.

Policy Goals

Securities regulation, investor protection, anti-fraud enforcement, registration and oversight of investment professionals and securities offerings, investor education, and support for state authority over capital markets and financial misconduct.

Funding

Primarily funded by member dues and association-related revenue from state and provincial securities regulators.

Affiliates

State, provincial, and territorial securities regulators; state securities agencies; the U.S. state securities administrators represented through NASAA; often works with the SEC and FINRA on investor protection matters.
