About the Organization

The Tennessee Bankers Association (TBA) is the statewide trade association representing banks, thrifts, and trust companies in Tennessee. Founded in 1890 and headquartered in Nashville, TBA provides advocacy, education, training, regulatory guidance, and member services to strengthen the banking industry and promote safe, sound financial services for Tennessee communities.

Policy Goals

State and federal banking regulation and supervision, bank taxation and economic policy, regulatory relief and compliance issues, consumer financial services rules, mortgage and housing finance, small business and community lending, fintech and payments policy, cybersecurity and operational risk, and workforce development and bank education initiatives.

Funding

Primarily funded by member dues and assessments, event and program fees, sponsorships and advertising, revenue from member services and publications, and income from affiliated subsidiary services (e.g., FPS Insurance).

Affiliates

American Bankers Association, FPS Insurance (wholly owned insurance agency of TBA), Tennessee BankPAC, Tennessee Bankers Association Foundation, and a network of member commercial, regional and community banks and associate industry partners.
