About the Organization

The ERISA Industry Committee (ERIC) is a national nonprofit trade association that represents the employee benefit interests of large, multi‑state employers. ERIC’s mission is to preserve ERISA’s national uniformity and to advocate at the federal, state, and local levels for policies that enable large employers to design, operate, and administer health, retirement, paid leave, and other compensation benefits for their nationwide workforces.

Policy Goals

Health plan regulation and transparency, retirement plan rules and SECURE/ERISA implementation, paid leave and time‑off policy, fiduciary and compliance standards, prescription drug/PBM policy, state preemption and multi‑state compliance, tax and regulatory issues affecting employer‑sponsored benefits.

Funding

Primarily funded by membership dues and fees from large employer members, supplemented by program service revenue and contributions.
