The Treated Wood Council (TWC) is a Washington, DC-based trade association founded in 2003 that represents companies involved in the production and supply of pressure-treated wood products and wood preservatives. Its mission is to serve all segments of the treated wood industry in the field of government affairs by monitoring and responding to legislative and regulatory activities affecting the industry.
Environmental regulation, chemical and pesticide regulation, building codes and standards, forestry and wood product policy, and federal and state legislation affecting the manufacture, treatment, and use of pressure-treated wood products.
Membership dues and contributions from member companies in the treated wood and wood preservation industries.
American Wood Protection Association, American Forest & Paper Association, Wood Preservative Science Council, and member companies including wood treaters, preservative manufacturers, and lumber producers; led by President and Executive Director Jeff Miller.
