About the Organization

The White House, formally known as the Executive Office of the President (EOP), supports the President of the United States in executing federal laws, developing policy, and managing the operations of the federal government. Established in 1939, the EOP includes key advisory and administrative offices that assist the President in areas such as national security, economic policy, domestic policy, communications, and management of the federal budget.
