Third Act Upstate New York is a volunteer-run regional working group of Third Act, a movement of older Americans organizing to protect the climate and strengthen democracy. It mobilizes elders across Upstate New York for local and state advocacy, public education, and coalition campaigns.
Climate and clean energy policy, fossil fuel opposition, solar and battery storage advocacy, democracy protection, voting and civic engagement, and related state and local environmental justice issues.
Primarily supported through Third Act’s national nonprofit fundraising, donations, and member support; local working group activity is volunteer-led.
