The Tile Roofing Industry Alliance (TRIA) is a North American trade association representing manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors involved in concrete and clay tile roofing. Founded in 1971 and headquartered in Seattle, Washington, TRIA promotes the benefits of tile roofing, develops installation standards, provides technical manuals and certification programs, and serves as the industry’s voice in building code development and regulatory advocacy.
Building code development and revision, fire and wind resiliency standards, energy efficiency standards, roofing installation regulations, workforce development and training policy, and government relations affecting the concrete and clay tile roofing industry.
Membership dues from manufacturers, suppliers, and roofing contractors, along with revenue from training, certification programs, and industry partnerships.
National Roofing Contractors Association, American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), International Code Council (ICC), National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), American Institute of Architects (AIA), and major tile manufacturers such as Eagle Roofing Products, Westlake Royal Roofing Products, and Ludowici.
