TransFamily Support Services is a San Diego–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides no-cost guidance and peer support to transgender and nonbinary youth and their families. Its services include family coaching, mentorships, education and professional training, assistance with health care and insurance navigation, and legal/school support; the organization operates virtually and serves families nationally and in targeted regional chapters.
Advocates for access to gender-affirming health care and insurance coverage, anti-discrimination protections for transgender and nonbinary people (especially youth), affirming school policies and student supports, expanded mental-health and family support services, and community education and training to reduce stigma.
Primarily funded by individual donations, philanthropic grants, fundraising, and small-scale community support.
