About the Organization

The Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport is a University of Minnesota–based interdisciplinary research center dedicated to advancing gender equity in sport and physical activity through solution-focused research, education, outreach, and public engagement.

Policy Goals

Focuses on policies and practices that advance gender equity in sport, Title IX implementation and enforcement, access and funding for girls' and women's athletic programs, coach recruitment and retention equity, athlete safety and well-being, and media and industry practices affecting women in sport.

Funding

Primary funding comes from the University of Minnesota with supplemental support from competitive research grants, philanthropic gifts, program partnerships and corporate sponsors.
