About the Organization

The U.S. Durum Growers Association (USDGA) is a national agricultural organization based in Bismarck, North Dakota, that represents producers of durum wheat. Founded in 1980, the association promotes the production and marketing of U.S. durum wheat and semolina products, advocates on agricultural policy issues affecting durum growers, and provides producer education through industry forums, newsletters, and collaboration with pasta and grain industry partners.

Policy Goals

Federal and state agricultural policy, farm income support programs, trade and export policy, wheat marketing and promotion, crop research and producer education, and issues affecting the profitability and demand for durum wheat.

Funding

Primarily funded through member contributions and producer support.

Affiliates

National Pasta Association, U.S. Wheat Associates, National Association of Wheat Growers, and state wheat commissions; leadership includes elected producer directors such as Scott Monke and other board officers.
