The Union Veterans Council is an AFL-CIO constituency organization and nonprofit labor group that brings together union members and leaders who are military veterans to advocate for veterans and their families. Its mission centers on improving veterans’ quality of life, especially through good jobs, fair wages, strong health care, and accountability from public officials and employers.
Veterans’ employment and job training, wages and workplace rights, access to quality and affordable health care, support for a strong and fully funded VA, union rights, and accountability in public policy affecting veterans and their families.
Primarily supported through the AFL-CIO and affiliated unions, along with organizational fundraising and labor movement resources.
