About the Organization

The United States Cattlemen's Association (USCA) is a national, grassroots trade association representing cow-calf producers, feedlot operators, backgrounders, and livestock haulers. Founded in 2007, it maintains a full-time presence in Washington, D.C., and advocates to strengthen the bottom line and long-term viability of U.S. cattle producers through federal policy engagement and industry leadership.

Policy Goals

USCA focuses on federal agricultural and livestock policy, including cattle market transparency and price discovery, antitrust enforcement in meatpacking, mandatory country-of-origin labeling for beef, grazing and public lands policy, transportation regulations such as Hours-of-Service reform, animal health, beef checkoff program oversight, and support for independent meat processors.

Funding

Primarily funded through membership dues, producer contributions, corporate partnerships, and industry sponsorships.

Independent Beef Processors Task Force; regional producer members and state cattle associations; industry partners and independent meat processors.
