Upper Gila Watershed Alliance is a community-based conservation organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the ecological health of the Upper Gila River watershed in southwestern New Mexico. The organization works to safeguard the free-flowing Gila River, promote sustainable water management, and support local communities through education, advocacy, and stewardship initiatives.
Water conservation and river protection, watershed restoration, opposition to river diversion and large-scale water infrastructure projects, sustainable land and water management, environmental protection, and public lands stewardship.
Primarily supported through individual donations, foundation grants, and community fundraising efforts.
