The US Rice Producers Association (USRPA) is a national trade organization founded in 1997 that represents rice farmers in Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas. Governed by producers and focused exclusively on producer interests, the association works to maintain and expand domestic and international markets, advocate for rice growers in legislative and regulatory matters in Washington, D.C., promote research and industry development, and provide market and policy information to rice producers and the public.
Agricultural and farm policy, including federal farm bill programs, trade and export promotion, market access, conservation and research programs, and regulatory and legislative issues affecting U.S. rice producers.
Membership dues and program service revenue from rice producers and industry participants.
Works alongside other rice industry organizations including the USA Rice Federation and participates in industry initiatives such as the Rice Market & Technology Convention; governed by a producer-elected board representing six rice-producing states.
