About the Organization

Utahns Against Hunger is a statewide anti-hunger nonprofit based in Salt Lake City that works to increase access to food through policy advocacy, community outreach, training, and public education. The organization focuses on ensuring eligible Utahns can access federal nutrition programs (SNAP, WIC, school and summer meal programs) and builds coalitions to strengthen local food access and incentive programs.

Policy Goals

Protecting and expanding federal nutrition programs (SNAP, WIC, school and summer meals), improving state funding for food access, SNAP outreach and eligibility assistance, supporting healthy food incentive programs (e.g., Double Up Food Bucks), and strengthening capacity of local pantries and senior nutrition services.
