About the Organization

Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) is a national nonprofit veterans service organization founded to represent and advocate for Vietnam-era veterans and their families. VVA focuses on securing veterans' benefits, improving VA health care access (including treatment and compensation for toxic exposures such as Agent Orange), addressing mental health and homelessness, accounting for POW/MIA cases, and public education about veterans' issues.

Policy Goals

Advocacy for veterans' benefits and disability compensation, VA health care access and quality, toxic exposure and Agent Orange recognition/compensation, POW/MIA accounting, veterans' mental health and suicide prevention, homelessness and transition assistance, claims representation and federal veterans policy oversight.

Funding

Primarily membership dues and individual donations, supplemented by grants, fundraising, and foundation or corporate support.

National VVA office, state and local VVA chapters, the VVA Foundation, and prominent founder/advocate Bobby Muller.
