The Virginia Association of Soil & Water Conservation Districts is a statewide organization that represents and supports Virginia’s 47 Soil and Water Conservation Districts. Its mission is to advance natural resource conservation, promote sustainable land use practices, and provide leadership and coordination for conservation efforts that protect soil, water, and related natural resources across the Commonwealth.
Conservation and environmental protection policies, including soil and water conservation, agricultural best management practices, watershed protection, erosion and sediment control, nutrient management, and state and federal conservation funding programs.
Membership dues from local Soil and Water Conservation Districts, state and federal grants, and program-related funding.
