The Virginia Pork Council is a statewide agricultural organization that represents and supports pork producers in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Its mission is to promote and safeguard the Virginia pork industry, improve the quality and efficiency of pork production, and educate consumers and policymakers about responsible pork production practices.
Agricultural and livestock policy, animal health and welfare standards, environmental and production regulations, trade and market access, checkoff program administration, and state and federal legislative and regulatory advocacy affecting pork producers
Industry funding including voluntary producer contributions through the Strategic Investment Program and pork checkoff funds administered in coordination with the National Pork Board
National Pork Producers Council, National Pork Board, Virginia Pork Industry Board, Virginia Livestock Hall of Fame, and advisory relationships with Virginia Tech
