The Virginia Soybean Association is a statewide agricultural organization founded in 1968 that represents and serves Virginia’s soybean farmers. It works to promote the economic growth and sustainability of the Virginia soybean industry through advocacy, education, research support, and outreach to consumers and policymakers about the value and uses of soybeans.
Agricultural and farm policy, commodity promotion and checkoff programs, research funding, environmental stewardship, trade and export promotion, biotechnology, and state and federal policies affecting soybean producers.
Primarily funded through membership dues, program service revenue, industry contributions, and support from soybean checkoff-funded projects.
Affiliated with the American Soybean Association and works closely with the Virginia Soybean Board and the United Soybean Board.
