Voice for Adoption (VFA) is a national, membership-based advocacy organization that educates policymakers and advances federal policies intended to increase permanency for children and youth in foster care and support adoptive and kinship families.
Federal child welfare and adoption policy, including efforts to increase permanency for children in foster care, strengthen adoption assistance and post‑adoption supports, support kinship caregivers, and influence funding and program rules for federal programs affecting foster care and adoption.
Primarily funded by membership dues, individual donations and gifts, and foundation grants/support for advocacy projects.
Member organizations and partners such as Adopt America Network, Adoption Rhode Island, Adoptive and Foster Family Coalition of New York, BrightPoint and similar state and national child welfare and adoption organizations; works regularly with congressional offices and federal child welfare agencies.
