Washington DECA is the state-chartered, 501(c)(3) nonprofit association of DECA serving Washington high school students. Its mission is to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management through competitive events, conferences, classroom resources, leadership development and industry partnerships.
Supports policies advancing career and technical education (CTE), school-to-career pathways, workforce development and employer/education partnerships; increased CTE and K–12 funding, access and equity for low-income students, experiential learning and support for youth leadership and entrepreneurship programs.
Primarily funded by membership dues and school/district support, conference and event fees, corporate sponsorships and partnerships, fundraising and charitable donations/grants.
DECA Inc. (national), Washington Collegiate DECA, local high school DECA chapters, industry and community partners (corporate sponsors), Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, and state staff including Executive Director Lori Hairston.
