Washington Roundtable is a nonprofit business league made up of senior executives from major private-sector employers across Washington state. The organization mobilizes member expertise to shape state public policy intended to support economic vitality, expand workforce and education outcomes, and improve the business climate and infrastructure for Washington communities. It also operates an affiliated education foundation, Partnership for Learning, focused on postsecondary credential attainment for students.
State economic competitiveness and fiscal policy, tax and regulatory issues affecting business, workforce development and career/college readiness, K-12 and postsecondary education policy through Partnership for Learning, infrastructure and housing policy, and occasional involvement in ballot measures that directly relate to the organization’s core policy priorities.
Primarily funded by membership dues and program-service revenue from corporate members and sponsors, supplemented by event and contract revenue and limited grants.
Partnership for Learning (education foundation), Washington Alliance for a Competitive Economy (WashACE) and collaborative ties with the Association of Washington Business and Washington Research Council; membership and leadership have included senior executives from major Washington employers such as Microsoft, Premera Blue Cross, PACCAR, Alaska Airlines, BECU and Comcast, and leaders such as Julie Sandler (board chair) and Rachel Smith (president as of October 1, 2025).
