The Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC) is a nonprofit, member-driven association that represents Washington state county governments and elected county officials. WSAC advocates for county interests before the state and federal governments, and provides policy research, training, technical assistance, and member services to support effective local governance.
Advocacy on local government finance and taxation, county governance and administration, public safety and criminal justice, public health and human services, transportation and infrastructure, land use and natural resources, emergency management, and intergovernmental relations.
Primarily funded by membership dues from Washington county governments, supplemented by grants, contracts, sponsorships, and fees for trainings and services.
Member county governments and elected county officials across Washington State, the National Association of Counties (NACo), state agencies, and related county professional associations.
