About the Organization

The Washington State Women’s Commission is a state government agency established to improve the well-being and economic security of women in Washington State. The Commission serves as a liaison between the public and state government, advising the Governor, Legislature, and state agencies on issues impacting women and girls, and working to advance gender equity across the state.

Policy Goals

Gender equity, equal pay, workplace protections, economic security for women, childcare access, reproductive health access, domestic violence prevention, civic engagement, and policies addressing disparities affecting women and girls
