The Wisconsin Land and Water Conservation Association (WI Land+Water) is a statewide membership nonprofit organization representing county Land and Water Conservation Departments and Land Conservation Committees in all 72 Wisconsin counties. Its mission is to empower county conservation staff and local elected officials to protect, conserve, and enhance Wisconsin’s natural resources through locally led conservation, professional development, education, and advocacy.
County conservation staffing and funding, soil and water conservation programs, agricultural and environmental stewardship, state budget appropriations for land conservation departments, technical standards for conservation practices, youth conservation education, and support for state and federal natural resource conservation initiatives.
Membership dues from county conservation departments and committees, conference and training revenues, and public and private grants.
