About the Organization

Young Democrats of America (YDA) is the official youth arm of the Democratic Party of the United States, representing Democrats under the age of 36. The organization works to mobilize young voters, develop young leaders, and advance Democratic values through grassroots organizing, political advocacy, and leadership development programs at the local, state, and national levels.

Policy Goals

YDA advocates for policies aligned with the Democratic Party platform, including voting rights expansion, climate action, affordable education, healthcare access, labor protections, racial justice, LGBTQ+ equality, and economic opportunity for young people.

Funding

Membership dues, individual donations, event revenue, and support from aligned political organizations and donors.

Affiliates

Democratic National Committee, College Democrats of America, state and territorial Young Democrats chapters, and elected Democratic officials.
